Namara Technologies

Context

Hi this is the story, of how the passing the tourch of one business owner to another more or less, farther to daughter. The CEO Shanta, came to me asking about if it be possible to create a new/ updated logo of Namara Technologies in April 2020. First sat down having a zoom meeting a, the dawn of the pandemic when we could not meet in person. Shanta went into detail about the legacy of the business originally Namara was a company was incorporated in 1989 by Rashmi Nathwani in real estate development and consulting. This family run company was involved in building in Southern Ontario and helping other companies’ properties, including municipalities and other levels of government.

What was in visioned for the new direction of the company building in the more of sense digital spaces rather than physical, involving word press design/development, and maintenance of those sites.

Client Expectations

Wanted a logo that could be easily read, incorporated the legacy of property building and wanted it done within a very tight time-frame at the time needed the logo due an upcoming word camp online presentation may 2020. As well as being able to use the logo in other marketing materials, client website, social media and other presentations.

Design Process

First sat down with sketching out ideas on adobe illustrator did this logo all digitally due time constraints. Started with making a sketch of a building for the main logo illustration added binary code to show and represent building blocks as small sections. There where a few iterations and back and forth I had open communication with the client updating and getting feedback for each design iteration. Each iteration we decided on going simpler with the design the building became flat 2D image and became more emphasis with the typography in the end.

Above was the first 3 primary sketches of the logo design.
